What is the Silhouette InstaLift™

The Silhouette InstaLift targets your midface, which is one of the first areas to show facial aging.

As you age, the thin cushion of fat under your skin diminishes, skin and supporting muscles lose tone, and gravity exerts its influence. As a result, your cheeks and the area underneath your eyes lose volume and appear droopy.

Dr. Long uses dissolvable sutures with bidirectional cones to lift deep tissues under the skin in the middle of your face. The sutures hold your skin in place initially, but as they gradually dissolve, scar tissue and new collagen develop that hold the lift in place. The procedure is done in the office, takes about 45 minutes, and requires minimal time for recovery.

How does Botox® work?

Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin that Dr. Long injects into the facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles. The toxin blocks nerve signals, so the targeted muscles relax and the wrinkles they cause are minimized or eliminated.

Botox treats wrinkles that develop from years of using the same muscles to make facial expressions, which includes crow’s feet, frown lines, forehead furrows, lines at the top of your nose, and bands on your neck.

Your wrinkles diminish in 3-7 days, and your results last from 3-6 months. When the effect begins to disappear, you can get another Botox injection to maintain your fresh appearance.

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a noninvasive procedure that uses ultrasound to lift and tighten your neck, under the chin, and on the eyebrow. Dr. Long places a handheld device against your skin, which sends ultrasound energy to tissues beneath the surface.

As ultrasound energy heats the targeted tissues, it causes existing proteins to contract and stimulates collagen production. You may see an immediate impact due to tightening when proteins contract, but you see the full effect over 2-3 months as new collagen grows in, lifting and tightening your skin.

Prior to Treatment:

• Patients with a history of viral infections such as herpes simplex or cold sores may need to be prescribed an appropriate anti-viral medication prior to treatment as microneedling could trigger a breakout.
• No topical Retin-A products for 12 hours prior to treatment.
• No Auto-immune therapies or products for 12 hours prior to treatment.
• No Aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory products for at least ten days prior to procedure.
• No prolonged sun exposure or sun burns in the treatment area 24 hours prior to procedure.
• Skin should be clean and makeup-free on the day of treatment.
• Evaluate on a case by case basis if an active or extreme breakout occurs before treatment.

Post Treatment:

• Avoid direct sun exposure for at least seven to ten days after treatment. Absolutely no tanning beds.
• Apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB, chemical free sunscreen with SPF 30+ designed for post cosmetic procedures.
• No vigorous exercising or strenuous activity for at least 48 hours post treatment.
• Avoid use of steam baths, saunas or swimming pools at least 48 hours following the treatment.
• Do not apply makeup on the same day of treatment.
• Use tepid water to cleanse the treatment area thoroughly while gently  massaging to remove debris.  Carefully pat dry without rubbing.
• Avoid the use of sensitizing drugs, skincare products or cosmetics that contain mineral oils, lanolin, petroleum, acids, or alcohol based toners.
• Only use post-procedure skincare products prescribed by the practitioner to soothe, calm, and protect the skin until it is fully recovered and ready for normal skincare.
• No harsh exfoliants, or products containing AHA/BHAs, retinoids or acidic products with pH level less than 4.5 or greater than 7 for at least 14days after treatment.

Downtime:

Swelling and redness is normal immediately after the treatment. The treated area will appear similar to that of a moderate to severely sunburned skin. Minor pain and/or discomfort of elevated warmth and tightness can be experienced. This will start to subside after 1 to 2 hours. Fast recovery is normally observed within the first 24 hours after the treatment with only slight redness remaining the following day.

• The skin will feel tight and dry for the first three days post treatment
• Some skin might scab after 3 days post procedure. It should not be touched or picked on to avoid any infections. Will fall off naturally.
• Patients may return to their regular skin care products approximately 2 to 3 days after the treatment or as soon as it is comfortable to do so.

It is a 3x treatment with it being 1mnth apart for each treatment.  Follow up is 6mnts after the final treatment.

（二）治疗前注意事项。

1.不适合急性感染及湿疹急性期，如以前曾有过口腔或    皮肤疱疹感染，要预防性服用抗病毒药物。

2.治疗前12小时，要停用Retin-A 等外用药，或者其他自身免疫治疗。

3.治疗前24小时，不能有长时间的阳光暴晒或者皮肤晒伤。

4.治疗前7-10天，停用抗凝药物（稀血药）。

（三）治疗后注意事项

1.避免暴晒（7-10天），用UVA/UVB  SPF >30以上的防晒霜。

2.当天不要化妆。

3.48小时内避免剧烈运动。

4.清水轻轻清洁，避免用刺激性的护肤品，如含有矿物油，酒精，只用温和护肤品。

5.2周内不能用含果酸AHA/BHAS,RETINOIDS 或PH,4.5或>7的护肤品或者化妆品。

（四）治疗次数及相隔时间。

一般治疗3次，每个月1次。

（五）治疗后反应。

1.治疗后立即会有红.肿.好似中度晒伤一样，会有灼痛不适，1-2小时后开始减轻，24小时后轻微发红，一般2-3天。

2.治疗后头3天皮肤会绷紧及干燥。

3.3天后有些皮肤会结痂，让其自然脱落，不可以用手剥落，以防感染。

4.除以上外，如下都有可能的反应包括，红，肿，干，脱皮，轻微刺痛，痒，短暂的沉色。
